Anyone else heard about the recent Eurogamer "incident"? I'm sure no one is actually surprised but this, but it is pretty fucking disgusting all the same.

This is your weekly Public Service Announcement: Zone of the Enders HD collection comes out this Tuesday 10/30 for PS3 and X360.
Yea, I totally forgot this was coming out.... I thought it got pushed back to late November. Also, Assassin's Creed III comes out the same day.... another one I forgot about. Anyway, just letting everyone know in case you are as forgetful as I am sometimes.
I am rather looking forward to ZoE, It's been many years since I've played them and it also comes with a Metal Gear Rising Demo..... kinda like how Zoe 1 came with an MGS2 demo back in the day... hmm.
The PC version of Plants vs Zombies will be available to download for free at http://www.stopzombiemouth.com/ from October 30 to November 10. The password is PEAH8R.
By the way, I see there used to be a free PC games thread, but it got locked in December last year for no apparent reason. And it's linked to from the EP Index Fun Links page.![]()
Hmm, a timed offer like that would fit more into this thread IMO:

However, I can re-open the free PC games thread for you if you want to post something else in there. Just let me know.
Yes, this is going to be a fantastic HD collection. These games already looked great on the PS2, so giving them widescreen support and upscaling is going to be nuts. The Metal Gear HD set was awesome as well, so I have high hopes for this.... and I'm pretty sure it's only $40. I believe Okami is $40 to, as it should be since it's a re-re-release.
Edit: And in my last bit of news, there are two new kickstarters up that older PC gamers on here will love. The first is by the makers of the Quest for Glory series (Sierra) and is called Hero-U. And no, it's not a Wii game. Link is here.
And the second is a new Shadowgate game by the original creator. Link is here.
Neither of these projects are seeking a whole lot of money, and both sound pretty great especially for us older PC gamers out there that grew up on this stuff. Check them out!

Yeah, a quick google search, it'll be 40 dollars on release, which is definitely a nice price point. Though I'm just looking forward to picking up the games again. I remember when I originally picked up the first game, I had some wonky issue with my memory card, that wouldn't let me save, so I never actually beat it. That'll change soon enough.![]()
40 bucks for two old games upscaled? Well, whatever floats your boat, I guess.
WHere are my HD PS1 games, HUH!?
Both the games complete tend to sell for about $20 each anyway.... If I was going to spend $40 on two old games I'd rather have them in HD for the same price, wouldn't you? Besides, I don't like pulling out my PS2 every time I feel like playing something old, so when a good HD compilation set comes out I'm all over it.
I dunno, maybe they added content. They mentioned that it was being "developed" so I assume they're at least actually rendering at the higher res rather than just upscaling. And I think they're making that multiplayer versus mode thing playable online? But honestly, YES $40 FOR UPSCALE. SO WORTH IT. And you get the Rising demo? Not particularly interested in that. But I do want the $60 CE FOR ARTBOOK OR WHATEVER IT IS.
