Unless you still run a bunch of old programs, you should consider upgrading to 7. It's actually pretty good. I'm very thankful I skipped Vista after using it at my brother's for an afternoon.

Would be great for a Hallowe'en game. And depending how much time you can dedicate to it, you can probably finish it before Hallowe'en even comes around. Took me about four days to beat it without putting too much dedication towards it.

I've found the same thing with the pawn shops around here. I haven't had too much luck lately. I might head up island on one of my days off later in the week and check out a couple of stores I've heard about. I'm still deciding on that part. It's a helluva boring drive to do by myself.

I meant to tell you about a converter that a buddy of mine has, though. He has an old pirate Famicom multi-cart connected to a pirate Famicom->NES converter. It's enclosed in a pretty snazzy case and looks like an official product. I wanted to buy it off him, but I think his sister still uses it. If he still has it next time I'm over there I'll try and remember to bring my camera and take a picture of it.

Hell yeah, will look good next to my 2 boxed Odyssey 2s.

Yeah, the pawn shops around here are mainly chock-full of a bunch of crap PS2/XBOX games and not much else. Other than some sports games or something for the SNES/NES with F-ed up labels. There's so many damn pawn shops in this town though. So it's just a matter of checking in on them every once in a while. Plus with Xmas coming up there's going to be a lot more listings on CL. So hopefully I'll be able to find some good deals on there.

Yeah, I just received a 60 to 72 pin adapter recently. So I could play the original PSIV pirate I purchased. Unfortunately the game doesn't work. The adapter works great though, Megami Tensei cart booted right up. Still, I would like to see some pics of that adapter your friend has.

I do run a lot of romhacking specific programs on this comp. Some of them are older...Plus this comp is a total pile, so it's not really worth upgrading. I do have Windows 7 Starter on my HP netbook. It's not bad, way better than Vista that's for sure.

As long as my favorite apps get ported to new Os, it's not bad trying them out.

I wont be in the market for a new pc for a while, and if it's anything like Vista, i'll just miraculously skip over it, haha. I held onto my old xp machine throughout the Vista years and when i finally needed a new one, 7 was out..... worked out in my favor

I'll see if he still has it next time I'm over there. It looks very similar to the one in this thread here, but without the directions on how to use it. It had some weird legalese, mentioned Konami (if I remember right the multicart was strictly Konami games), and mentioned Taiwan. I remember it wasn't "Made in Taiwan," but I can't remember the exact phrasing that was on it. Might have been "For sale in Taiwan."
