Welp, trying out Swat4 (as if I need another game in the pile) Another one of those that I heard good things but never got around to checking out. Looks interesting but having a hell of a time deciding on how to map everything onto the 360 controller with Xpadder.

Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands. I really like it,especially like that I can play as a girl. The early games forced you to play as a boy. It's cute and there's a lot to do. I recommend to anyone who likes the Harvest Moon series.

I made a thread about venturing into the Sega CD and 32X libraries. I guess Ill make a blog post about all my more in depth thoughts on the games Im playing, but here Ill mention one in particular.

    Popful Mail.
Man, I want to like this game, but its so monotonous and hard. The wikipedia article mentions that when it was brought to america the company in charge made the game harder, that sucks cause this should have been a really good kids (well its kinda sexual since you play a girl), action light rpg game. But no, this game I probably wont even finish. The biggest problem more than anything else is that they only give you one resurrection, after that you constantly have to go into your items and refill your health or youll die and its game over, hopefully you save your game at important parts. Youre not able to buy a resurrection and its not like they reward you after boss fights with one, they just refill your health meter, which is good if youre almost out, but pointless if youre at 95%. Theres some control issues, if Im slashing my sword i cant turnaround until its completed its sweep. If I was playing it with a Genesis controller I dont think I would have gotten as far as I have, the button lay out for it would give me carpel tunnel syndrome.

So far the best game for the Sega CD Ive played is Lords of Thunder, by a freakin mile too, but Im gonna download 5 other games or so, and Ill write a blog post or series of them on these adventures I have.

I picked up Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy for the 3DS a few days ago, and within about four hours of gameplay, was able to breeze through the main story mode on easy. Despite the final mission being an incredibly disappointing climax to the game (seems to be a theme lately for me ;/) the game itself was quite enjoyable. The fact that all of my unlocked planes & upgrade parts carry over to starting over at a higher difficulty means I'll be on this one for quite a while
"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

Starting up Borderlands 2 right this instant.

I also recently just acquired the 4 zombies DLC maps for Black Ops. So I'm playing those quite a bit as well. I know I'm behind on times, but I refused to pay 1200 MSP per pack. I got all 4 for 2400.

Just started the new XCOM on PC. So far it's amazing, I've been hooked for about 4 hours. Very faithful to the original, although it isn't quite as complex as the original.
