We have Australia Day, but it's not officially a celebration of conquest and rape...usually involves bbq's & beer

We have the exact same thing except it's called Canada Day. Also fireworks!

Hmm I have no idea what the law is here with fireworks. I hear them all the time though so it can't be that strict. And I don't think we have many fireworks events for Newyears. Cuz like Winter and shit.

I've had some real close calls with fireworks. Didn't have a tube for some mortar shells so we piled a bunch of rocks around them. A few seconds later we were all hunkered down in a road side ditch . All I could think of was this was the closest to trench warfare I'll ever experience.
