Explorer crashing when you start WMP is far more likely to be a software related.

I figured out why, I think.
It was because I had attempted to play a Game Maker game which (unfortunately) didn't work on the computer, and it still ran in the background apparently, according to Task Manager.
Which still is confusing, to be honest.
