Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll feel a lot better once it's gone. It started out as a rebellious/metalhead phase (yeah, well, I was 16) and I only kept it because it was comfortable to just wear it in a ponytail. But lately it just hasn't been worth all the hassle.

I got my hair cut short when I first came to university. And promptly regretted it. Growing it long again now, but had I not had it cut then, it would be sooooo long and thick now.
