Somehow The Office (if that counts, because I'm unsure if the British version was first) is something I never thought would have went so well over here, but not as well received across the pond (lol).

Yeah, the British version came first. I actually don't mind what I've seen of the American one, and it seems like a pretty good adaptation, but I'd prefer to spend my time watching one of the many great American shows that I haven't already seen with different accents and actors. :'D
