Well, I'm pretty sure Adobe does pretty hefty student discounts on it, but you'd probably have to verify enrollment by faxing in a scan of your student ID or something. But I have no idea how you'd go about finding out what the student price is.

Well, I'd assume the school has it on their lab computers if you're willing to always go to school when you need to work on things. The tablet you'd still have to get on your own, though. If you're a freshman, you could always just suffer through a year with the mouse. Or work outside of school to pick up the extra cash for it.
