Needs some wizard rap.

I think the reason I like Genesis audio so much is because it was sort of the final hurrah for chiptune style music, in so much as the 16 bit era was really the last time each console had an individual sound. For obvious reasons everything went the SNES route after that and started using samples or prerecorded soundtracks.
But yeah, it depends on the game I guess. FM synthesis is a bitch to work with and can sound really grating if you're not careful. When used properly though it's amazing:
Spoiler warning:
@ Rasgrezwhat is this
"I am... Sheik. One of the last of the Sheikah tribe..."
I think as those that were 'of the age' in the 80s become crusty-guys, 8/16-bit carts and consoles will dwindle-down in price ...as with most markets...
Hell, even the Kenner Star Wars line has dipped...
I have seen my Bandai King Kong sway from $30-$200...its a weird scene with services like E-Bay available..
Gyps - Thats a valid point. I cant tell you how many times I did this song and dance in the 90s:
Me: "Hey, how much for the box of Atari games?"
Housewife: "Ohhh..those are COLLECTORS ITEMS now, you know! There are SEVERAL Pac-Mans in there...the ORIGINAL Pac-Man! They are VERY rare! I could do $5 ......each...."
Me: "Huh.... Well, thanks, and take care...."

Also, I'd like to know what the hell is up with Fox sports Midwest. The game is being preempted by a rerun of the world poker tour.![]()
I was always just just into collecting but never cared about resell. But now I'm curios as to how much of the 100's of game carts I have in my closets are actually worth something. I started young at 8 or 9. Stockpiled video games like they were gonna go out of business.
Yeah CL is pretty much dead here. For the most part if they are using the internet they aren't the people I want to be buying from. I also tend to now avoid garage sales listed on CL that mention video games but don't give an indication of price. They tend to be a huge waste of time.
Yeah. This year was pretty slim for me video game wise and garage sale season is coming to a close. I'm glad I broadened my scope this year with things I'm targeting.
Ras - Went ok, I suppose.... Doc told me that it would be 'wise' for me to consider a possible 'brace' for my lower spine..
Ughhh....
Anyway...
And Shard...FECK OFF! 50?! I dont feel a DAY over 49!
Damn...you guys are FAST with this shit...I hit 'refresh' and there are 10 new comments....Christ...

Chances are you have a couple of semi-valuable games in there. Depends on the types of games you would buy, what systems, etc. When I was a kid I had about 50 NES games that my mom sold in a garage sale around '97. When I first got back into collecting, I took a look to see if I used to have anything extremely valuable -- I did not. Couple of carts worth about $20-$30 each, but otherwise fairly common stuff.
