Yeah, but i don't know if there's enough material to justify making three movies. I'm afraid that one will be filler, or part of each movie will be filler.Of course, they want to milk this for all they can get. But three movies..I don't know.
True indeed.
I guess condensing the storyline too much hurts it, and just stretching out to the most boring of exposition doesn't help sales, it's just the material you have to work with.
LotR is a good, lengthy source, which is probably why when they were adapting it, the movies didn't suck harder than a vacuum in a black hole.
"I am... Sheik. One of the last of the Sheikah tribe..."
The movies were good, my only complaint was the second movie was cut short. I enjoyed the movies and I'm glad Gandalf will be back. I'm excited to see what they do with this book. I'm definitely going to see it.
Still, I think it may have been possible to create say, 2 films based on The Hobbit first.......and then spam the world with a set of three trilogies (9 movies) for lotr.
There's even room to create a movie (or maybe more) based on some of the stories from The Silmarillion.

i can't STAND The Lord of The Rings books. i like The Hobbit, but not the main three.
A movie based on The Simarillion. That book could be another trilogy. Good idea.
