Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote stuff in the 19th and 20th centuries.
I'm pretty sure most (if not all) of Sir Walter Scott's stuff was written in the 19th century.
Tolkien's stuff was written in the 20th century.
You should be able to work out when Star Trek books were written

None of these books are difficult to read at all.

Read one book at a time

I guess. it doesn't take me long to crochet them. Maybe a couple of hours. Swimming was fun till I saw the sunburn. I thought I didn't sunburn easily. sigh.My nose, cheeks, forehead and scalp are sunburned.
