Get a modchip. They're really easy to install.
Less mucking around if you have a HDD failure, or want to upgrade your HDD.
    Easiest console I ever modded

    Softmod in 30 seconds.
Hard to do better than that.

    I have PS2's as well.
But the Xbox has superior hardware......and the games have better gfx.
So you get everything you can for Xbox, then any exclusives for PS2

Huh...and here I have been using those boat anchor Xs as floor liners/slingshot practice....go figure...

In the 'fairly worthless console' vein, at last count, we had 20-something GameCube decks...

Apparently there is a firmware you just install off the memory stick, and it's done.

Back when I had one, you had to go through quite a bit to hack one.

Buahaha. Gamecube is easy to play burned games on. $10 for the console + $20 for sd launcher = play all the games. Lol.

Softmods are great if you want something cheap, but nothing beats a decent hardmod.
Dunno how many failed Xbox softmods I've seen, and they were ok for some time initially

Yeah I remember the chic-hen process where you had to load a picture at the exact moment or it would lock up the PSP.

And you had to repeat the process everytime you rebooted.

Now it's basically a one button thing, and permanent.

I heard the same, man...yeah...apparently, it could be a bitch in the 'early days'... "Bricking" and all...

Error - Yeah, hes the man...between him and Zorlon, you should be more than all set. Hell, I was so impressed with his time/patience that I sent him a (non-working) PSP to tinker with...
