Taking notes....
It's true.
But It's still a gimmick only because of 3 things.
1.) There is no true way to know what sells, and just because motion control and 3D projection worked this time doesn't mean it worked every time.
Examples - Power Glove and Visual Boy
2.) The impact of the innovation is lost because of competition and you know, money grubbing.
Examples - Kinect, Playstation Move
3.) The final straw is the general gaming crowd being picky asabout how this "innovation" makes the game annoying, or tedious, or just not innovative.
(this is speculation and can be disproved over time)

I've got a Wii console, and a Gamecube.
I'm not categorically saying I'll never get a Wii U........I just can't see the point of getting one asap for some games with slightly better gfx, and maybe a couple (to begin with) exclusives.
I haven't played all the Wii games I've pirated yet anyway..........and haven't even got around to getting a PS3![]()
You talking about my friend who sold me the 360 here?
I didnt even have to convince him, he asked me if i would be willing to buy it.
He gave me original box, stock headset, and 250 GB system for $100----price he came up with!
I could barely contain my joy when he gave me that price.
@Deadlegion A PS2 is next on my list, but it will have to wait for awhile. Unless Gyp wants to give me a free one like he did with Nem![]()
oh, like discs were innovative for the PS1?
I'm thinking about getting a xbox. I'm definitely getting another ps2. My old one broke down.
read this blog: WWW.BDVR.CO.CC
my blog, i review stuff on it.
ima get an old Xbox, a PS2, a PSone, and a Wii U and a 3DS
For its time.
Yes it was. More space for bigger and more expansive games, Plus the added space needed to up the graphical scale for its time.
But Nintendo and Sega was both planning to compete with this, both failed until the 6th Generation.
Example - 64DD and Sega Saturn or Sega CD (unfortunately)
Sega dropped out of console making and the GC was made for Nintendo.

Yeah. But Sega wasn't the only failures. We can't forget The cd-i and the Jaguar.
