Still one question, is Conan Grown Yet?
700+ manga chapters later and I really think I've been led on a wild goose chase for a plot point
No idea, never read the manga. Just caught episodes of the English dub here and there back when they were on TV.

For the slim, you'll have the block the sensors same as if you you were going to use Swap Magic, Cogswap, CDLoader, etc.
Then put in a real PS1 game and run uLaunchELF (should be installed on the memcard as part of FMCB).
At the top, it'll say something along the lines of "Reading disc", then something like "Disc found = PS1 CD".
If the disc doesn't stop spinning after that, you need to look through the uLaunchElf config stuff and turn on the option there to make the disc stop spinning after the initial check. I don't recall which one it is, but it should be obvious.
Once the disc stops, take it out and put in your burned one.
If your sensor blocks are in places that allow it, you can shut the lid now.
    Then go to File Browser->MISC->PS2DISC.
    Voila, game starto.

If it doesn't work, then at the end try File Browser->MISC->PS2 Browser instead, then run the disc from there.
you know what? I'll just stick with my PSX swap trick stuff.
Don't want to risk breaking the PS2, because I heard the sensors are harder to block too.

A modded PS1 will do these things without all the hassle .

You put a wacko smiley on the end, but that actually was pretty nice.

Depends on the model. Also, the swap trick works on the PS2 but I wouldn't recommend it. It's actually why the thing I posted above works. It's part hilarious and part scary when you pop off a moving disc and jam a new one in there while it's still moving.

Germpol? I have many friends of similar lineage...

Nem - With all politeness intended, what the hell is a 'Sanger Zanvolt' - ?

"Strange games with boobies"....sounds like a Comedy Central show...

Error - Oftentimes that happens with the various lineages/ethnic branches.....my wife, for example, has at least 6 Middle-Eastern/Asiatic peoples in her lineage....though she identifies most with Libyan.

(DAMN....many of you younger peoples type/commune SO rapidly, by the time I'm able to add my 1.5 cents, I'm tossed in the friggin DUST two pages earlier...heh...)

I've done the swap trick so many times. It's hilarious though, that I've made a couple games go bad from doing it. That's why I buy a terrible cheap game(Cardinal Syn) that I use as a boot disc.

Dont care much for Adult Swim lately...

Love 'Adventure Time', though, for various reasons....good stuff...

I've got three copies of FF9. Having four discs is amazing. But I actually haven't killed any because I never pop it off while moving anymore.
