that deck needs tons of work take out basic lands for dual lands add eldrazi balancing etc. that deck has over 40 lands.

Yeah, 40 should be like, the maximum amount of lands, unless you're doing something wacky with lands. Drop all of the elves, no idea why you are playing those. At least you were playing Terminate.

As for lands in an EDH deck. I say 34-39 unless you are doing something crazy.

Yeah, I wasn't really playing to win at that point, I figured the damage the damage had already been done and there was no way I could win short of magically digging for an exile spell against the Phoenix, so I might as well go out stylin'.
It would have been super pro if KS got a chance to untap, and played Exsanguinate on us.

Though that Maelstrom Wanderer + Fusion Elemental + Cairn Wanderer was hilarious. It was the wrong play to untap that shockland, I could have just waited until next turn, and do it but my body couldn't resist.

I would have just had the Valakut target you and then popped the phoenix.
I want to play with that deck 1 on 1 more, it feels like it's more structured for that.
