I'm pretty bad at them too. I can usually win against the low level players and give a decent game to the mid level ones, but I'm too stubborn to practice beyond a certain point, so anyone even remotely good at a game will kill me every time. :'D Still, I recognise the skill involved, even if it's mostly beyond me.

Nah, it wasn't an attack or anything. I was referring to them people who say that certain genres of games suck, because of the critic's lack of skill.

Yeah, i guess that somewhat true but you always say that it does matter about knowing the combos. I couldn't go into whatever the fighter everyone plays is. If you know the good characters and the character whom works best against that person and your set. Ofc if your using voice chat you can pull mind games and stuff, Or Irl is a better example of the ability.

Well of course you couldn't play someone at a game they've played before and you haven't and expect to win right off the bat. That's true of pretty much every competitive game or sport out there, and isn't a reflection on the complexity of the game in question so much as the fact that uh... they've played before and you haven't. :'D But knowing moves and character matchups is like... very much the basics of the basics, and stuff that you can learn in about an hour. Learning that doesn't make you an expert. Just a step above a beginner. So I don't think it's really fair to say that you're "set" if you know that stuff. Maybe you're set if you're only going to be playing people who have never played the game before. :'D
