It does work, "This creature can't be blocked except by artifact creatures and/or creatures that share a color with it.", Thran Lens makes everything colorless, so nothing share a color. Now everything with Intimidate can only be blocked by Artifacts.
It works for Invoke Prejudice too, but it doesn't really make it retarded, chances are if you can hit UUUU you're playing monoblue, which already a pretty slim portion of the creature base in magic.

I'm running it in all my blue mud decks already. Definitely adding Thran Lens now.

It shouldn't really be that big of a difference, if you're running mostly all artifact dudes, nothing really changes. Are we talking about EDH here? Or T1? Cause if we're talking about Legacy/Vintage it's a really subpar.
