Don't know why i stopped watching legend of korra, watched the first 3-4 episodes but havent had the time to catch up.

Yeah, I've only watched up to episode 4 of Korra, And I gotta say, it's pretty damn good so far, It's not quite as good as the original, but it is good.

*shrugs* I think people place too much emphasis on talent sometimes. Obviously the Mozarts and Picassos of our world are born with natural gifts that not many of us have, but there's a big difference between not having the potential to be a genius and not having the potential to be good, and I sincerely believe that any healthy, capable human being can reach a fairly high level at most anything with time and effort.

This made me think of "Rock Lee" for some reason.

I never exhibited any particular talent for music or languages as a child, yet I now speak semi-fluent Japanese and play concert level piano pieces despite starting both things as an adult. Not because I have some fabulous natural talent, but simply because I really wanted to learn and put a lot of time into it.

Why do I still sense the "talent" emanating from that?

Yeah, and really like what you do boosts all the effort too. I would say like... 50 points per level.

Of course sometimes people just feel that the rewards of getting good at something aren't worth the effort required, and that's okay. But it's really sad to see people convinced that they can't do stuff, and jumping ship on things they really love because they don't have any prodigious natural gift for it. If you want to be good at something, are physically capable and are willing to put in the work, there's really no reason that you can't be.

Sometimes people with low self-esteem generalize, after giving up on one thing, that they are not useful at all.
That is really sad. And somethings could be seen as talents. I think qualities in one's personality can be considered
talents. I mean, even if someone is not particularly good at what is usually seen as a talent, that person can enjoy
life happily and be peaceful, kind... I would definitely say that is a talent.
