That's kind of what I figured. I often try games that I'm not sure about if the price is right (I picked up the first Crysis for $20), but if I can only kind of get into it or don't enjoy it at all, then the series is dead to me no matter how awesome some of the sequels end up being.

It's one of the reasons I still haven't bought another Assassin's Creed game, no matter how many recommendations the later entries in the series got. It has moved way, way, way down on my list because of the impressions of the first game.

I never pay the full retail for them. Either library or pick it up after it's been out for a fair bit.

Bidding on Uncharted GA until I win one. GRRR.
I would pay full retail if it looked interesting enough, but honestly, $30 is the most I'm comfortable paying for games like that.
It's the same with sport games. If I were to ever purchase a sport game, the most I would pay would be $25. Otherwise, not worth it for me.
Then again, I never buy sport games, so it's kind of a moot point.

I guess the ancestral tracing threw you off.
I thought that too, but I only want AC again just to beat it 100%
Then Sell it so I won't have to complete the series

That's what full retail should be .

The only AC game I've played was the first one. It was so horribly repetitive and monotonous that I did not want to finish it.
It's one of the few games that I actually traded in. I have a bunch of games in my collection that I did not enjoy nearly as much as I had hoped I would (Fallout 3 comes to mind), but I rarely get rid of games. Even though I have no intention of playing FO3 again, nor picking up any of the sequels, I will still keep it in my collection.

That's how much I did not enjoy the first AC.

    I am Disappoint
Will not complete Black Rock Shooter soon, only because I have little Idea WTF is going on between one scene and another.

Sonic 2006 was the only game I traded in.
    Makes sense

As soon as I found out it wasn't set in the past, instant drop.
