Also, once that alcohol is out of your system, your body goes completely back to normal. So I don't quite see where you're going with that one. The vaccine leaves your system in much the same way. Believe it or not, once something is in your blood, it doesn't stay there.

No, alcohol does not make you dumber. Alcoholics are not stupider than the normal person. Well, maybe. I mean, if you're dumb enough to get that drunk repeatedly you probably weren't that smart in the first place.

I believe it's a discussion of basic biological process.

Hey, you happen to have one o' them fancy doodads that says you know about the stuff inside people. Maybe you should weigh in on us and learn us a lesson good on how getting a teeny tiny little bug somehow completely rewrites your brain.

Once Crohn's Disease go away, you return to normal as well. How is that so hard to see? You linked a physical problem that shouldn't affect the mind and I gave you an example of a physical problem that does affect the mind as an analogy that your assumption can be flawed.

@Milady: Just two-three people talking about theories to conspire. It's been very informative in understanding their point of view.

I'm so not even going there.

I'm just going to find comfort in the fact that the only person involved in this conversation whom I happen to be fond of is the only one that doesn't sound like a complete loon.

Also, I have been enjoying the many points in the conversation when the responses were very obvious TLR.

    Crohn's disease doesn't go away.

    Neither does autism.

    They must be the same.

It shouldn't but does? I don't think as many people drink alcohol for the taste as you seem to think. Besides that, it's completely different. Alcohol is a foreign substance that you're ingesting in massive quantities. Crohn's is a disorder of your own body. And I don't see how a mass of cells no bigger than the tip of a needle is going to cause the same effect as chugging a large bottle that happens to be 20-30% alcohol by volume.

Besides that, are you saying you somehow get Crohn's from the needle, then it goes away without any symptoms whatsoever until you spontaneously develop autism, when there's not a lick of evidence that autism is something that "develops" at all? Despite you clearly knowing that a foreign substance generally has an immediate effect even in smallish doses (hello allergies!). What is this I don't even.

    Sounds reasonable to me.

Then again, I tend to drink a lot so I'm stupid. Also I may have hepatitis. I mean, my brain gets all fuzzy sometimes when I drink this beer stuff.

I would love to stick around and watch, as one finds it difficult to look away from a burning building or a gruesome highway accident, but alas, I feel terribly exhausted.

    Goodnight, Ray. And good luck~!

The one thing i don't seem to fucking understand is how 5-7% alchohol gets me drunker faster then shots of 40+ %.

Seriously. The logic makes little sense to me.

Probably because you're drinking more of it faster.

If you drink something that's 7% but you're drinking more than 6 times as much (which you probably are since shots tend to be fucking tiny in most places) then you're ingesting more alcohol in the long run. Compare the size of a beer to a shot glass. You're probably looking at 20-30 times the size, and therefore far more alcohol total.

With shots you're also probably taking them in gradual doses over a period of time. Whereas with other drinks you're providing a constant stream. A mouth full every few seconds. If you were doing (a lot of) rapid fire shots you'd probably get drunk faster. But most people don't.

Logical. Which kinda explains why malt liquor fucks me up SO fast compared to anything else. But where i am a "Shot" Takes 3-4 fast drinks. I'll look for a picture of what the glasses we have are.
    Spoiler warning:
    Its the bigger one.

Which we use for all types of vodka and shit at my dads. But i guess the beer logic does make sense. Its just what 6-10 of those sized shots should do to me. And what it does seems a bit odd. But then again Half a thing of malt liquor (Blast) Gets me close to black out lmao.
