At the very least, waiting until I can actually afford the game seems to give me an advantage.
"Hey, Drag, I see that shiny new platinum you have over there. Mind if I borrow that pawn of yours?"
I really enjoyed Kingdoms as well. It wasn't the huge epic game that I was hoping for, but there was enough there to keep me entertained for a couple of weeks. I think I picked that one up for $45 and was happy with what I paid for it.
I would recommend Dragon's Dogma from what I've played so far. So pick it up next time you're out buying a game.![]()
As a side note, I have no idea how the pawn trading system works -- like, if there's a level difference cap similar to Demon's Souls, for example -- or if you can literally take any pawn that you want.![]()
Been reading about it and watching a couple of vids since you mentioned picking it up in Retro a little earlier. I think I'd definitely enjoy it, haven't gotten around to spending ages downloading the demo, though.
