I probably said that in too roundabout a way. I feel like the line was probably supposed to go in somehow they just never got around to figuring out a good time for an exposition dump. Then the foreigners just threw it in wherever they felt it made sense. Such is my opinion.Oh no, I think it was definitely intended (and strongly implied with or without the line in question). I was just meaning whether they intended to put in an overt statement to that intent which never quite found its way into the final version, or whether they just meant for you to infer that on your own.

Perhaps. I'm just dossing around programming and looking at tutorials. I've got work in 12 hours, and an evil dead marathon would take about 3 hours (I don't really like the first on all that much) If I did a proper marathon I'd have to play Hail to the King and Fist full of Boomstick.
