Help with Shadows of Destiny PS2

I'm having trouble with this game. I can get through the intro cutscene fine but I can't move my character so I can't even pick up the digipad. I've tested my controller with several other games and also tried assigning the left stick up to w but still couldn't move. Does anyone know any way to fix this. According to the compatibility list it is playable. Also I haven't noticed any problems showing up in the console

I have tried downloading this game from two sources found on two completely different sites and both have the same problem.

Like I said before it should be playable according to the compatibility list for PCSX2.

The game character moves with the left anaog stick and the game works with some slowdowns in a few places even with mtvu

I've tried using the left analog stick but it doesn't work and just to make sure I've doubled checked my settings and everything is set up correctly.

I'm having this problem too on dot hack g.u. vol 1. Left analog wont move my character, it worked when i started the game but suddenly stopped working for some reason. Please help!!

You can download one of the latest svn5218 http://pcsx2.net/svn.php or 4891 and try with this config PCSX 2 v098 r4891 CLAMPING MODE NORMAL ENABLE SPEEDHACKS INTC BIFC0 MVU FLAG HACK FAST DVD and you could enable the myvu hack or not and both games work with it

I'll try using that config and see if it works thanks for the suggestion.

Apologies for being somewhat off-topic with this, but why not just play the PC version?

I would play the PC version, however, I have no more money on my Walmart Moneycard and I can't find any place to get it for free legally or illegaly.

Um... Okay just tried it before changing the config and it's working fine now even though all I changed was the GS Window settings to Widescreen 16:9 (Which by the way if someone can tell me if there's a way to use 16:10 please do) and the GSdx setting from Direct3D11 to Direct3D9. I don't think I changed anything else but as long as it working I'm glad.
