Um... well I do, but not in the way I expected to. I speak to my tutors and friends pretty much every day in Japanese, and I read novels in the language. But in terms of games / anime / movies / manga? Not reaaaaally. :'D Like a couple a year~

If it's "Jiru" in Japanese, "Jil" or "Jill" is most likely, though they'd probably avoid the second because... uh... it's a girls' name in English. "Gil" works, but only if it's a J sound at the start and not read like the name of that guy from The Simpsons. Of course it's quite possible that they just changed the name to something that works better in English.

Yeah, I have lots. I always feel guilty speaking to them in Japanese when they're here though, as they're supposed to be here to learn English. Some of us agreed that we'd speak English on British soil and Japanese on Japanese soil. :'D

Pretty much second nature. It doesn't feel foreign to me anymore so much as just a language I don't speak quite as well as I speak English. Of course there are still words that I don't know and sentences that confuse me from time to time, but I don't get mentally exhausted reading Japanese in the same way that I used to.
