With the whole channels online i'm talking about like TBS.Com pay like 2-10 USD a month. (More then what you pay in the cable bundles here) and have all there shows with maybe 1-2 ads or none depending on the cost and still be saving money because you don't have to pay for Oxygen ect.
True. And that's one of the reasons why Nielson happens to be the big one, they tend to be neutral and attempt to mostly weed out any bias in the stats. When you get paid the same regardless of what the numbers say, the numbers are probably going to be pretty honest. That reputation and tendency to not get caught up in number rigging means a lot to potential ad investors.

That could easily work. Although it presents something of a small problem of getting the network "out there" in the first place. The idea that someone can get turned on to a show simply by catching it while flicking through the channels is pretty big. But I guess they could work something out. Like hiring people to go on forums and recommend shows/networks to people. Because everyone loves people who are paid to do that.

They could also run a live stream type of deal for that also. and you would be tempted to test something out if you see it 24/7 you don't always need spam. Plus most of the tv channels already have a foot hold into popularity. Fuck im a 16 year old boy and i know i never want to watch oxygen and that i know it with it being in the lower demographic means something.

That wouldn't be bad since they seem to know there shit when it comes to anime. But maybe there will buy rights to get there own team to do that work, which i imagine they won't. And when it comes to anime it seems they are closer to fans as with two and a half men or big bang theory have very little fan interaction / care for.
A lot of it is limited to DVD releases and that sort of thing. The anime TV market had a pretty rough patch, which lead to a lot of that stuff going "underground". But there's still shows coming over and getting an english voice cast.

That's also a potentially good thing about your idea. If people pay directly for the shows they're seeing, they could probably get more involved in the production and selection of what winds up getting put out. If a lot of people wanted X anime over Y anime, I suspect X anime would be pushed forward because it'd be bringing in money. With small ventures like Toonami, fan interaction would be fairly important and the major way to earn cash from the small but dedicated fanbase.

Actually, now that I think about it networks would be largely unnecessary in the future. They could just be repurposed as "production studios" in a fashion akin to movie studios. Traditional "channels" would become a thing of the past and services like "Netflix" would be a source for a wide range of content. In much the same way that a lot of developers congregate under something like Steam, these successors of the network would congregate under Netflix and compete for viewership and page hits. Or perhaps a small charge placed per episode. Or whatever new ratings system gets implemented.

Well, until a big one pulls an Origin and breaks away to "do its own thing" and because it wants ALL OF THE MONEY. But that's when we simply point and laugh and go back to our other shows.

A few networks are starting up services like that but are to afraid to go all out and leave the tube. Hell funimation hosts anime on youtube. I think if they all did it at once it would probably be successful but then again the computer advanced people would have to teach the elderly how to use these services. That would be a pain.

Sometime next week, I get a new (to me) phone. LG Optimus V. As soon as I activate it and make sure everything is working, it's ALL about that Root + Custom Recovery + Quattrimus ICS.

    Fuck a warranty.

Also, Lydia's new printer completely fucked up my plans of playing Gears tonight. I was able to join two matches, but got kicked due to inactivity in the first and quit the second because she's bad at computer and needed me to set it all up.

    An Optimus?

There's no way it's going to die.

Moral of the story: if she's going to be under the same roof as you when you play video games, she should have her lips wrapped firmly around your penis the whole time.

I wanted to get the HTC EVO V 4G, but I don't want to pay $300 for a phone. Maybe next year or something.

I'm not too concerned about the warranty. I don't do anything stupid to or with my phone. With me, the most likely issue would be water damage, which isn't covered under warranty anyway.

I don't like Androids personally, bad experience and they just arn't right for me. Not putting them down but i know i'm getting an iphone when presented the opportunity. Plus ot me the only differnce in all reality is that android use flash, which si a small security weak point. Which leads to more virus's.
