    That's understandable.
Isn't the Sierra (and the previous Cortina) classified as a large sedan there?
Just curious......did the last Cortinas (just before the Sierra) you had there just have 4 cylinders? Or did they have 6's as well?

    Spoiler warning:

No idea about Cortinas, don't really care for them. Although there are two in my area. Both Ghias, one's a from the 70s and the other is the last model before they stopped making them.

An ex-gf of mine had an early 80's Cortina (what you call a mk V) with a 4.1 ltr inline 6 and 4 spd manual box.
Went really hard for a stock car (it was completely unmolested).
    I had some fun times

Looking at wiki, I think you guys had a 2.3 ltr V6 as the largest engine.

There probably wasn't anything strong enough at the time, and still cost effective for that car
You could probably put a T5 in one if you wanted to I guess
Or do a Supra 5 spd conversion (toyota conversion kits aren't difficult to get here).

Some of those Corties are getting around with engineered V8's.

I must say this 70s Cortina that's parked up on someone's drive has never moved from their drive. It's been there for a few years now...

It's probably a fucking wreck under the bonnet/underneath. It looks pretty nice, yellow paint with a black roof. Looks like a muscle car/Capri.

Q: Your description says that the car has 3 speed gearbox but in the other description it says it had a 4 speed. Can you clarify please.Thanks.
A: Hi Willow, I couldn't find an identical one in the ebay file however I can assure you it is a 1972 3 Speed manual with the 200CI (3.3 Litre) engine.

Three whole gears to choose from! So what would it do in first then, like 40 MPH?
