I would have been very upset with this. I had a situation that is not the new game situation. I was buying a used copy of I think FF X cause my old copy got stolen. Well I picked the case that was not the greatest hit and the gamestop employee gets one that is the greatest hit. I said that is not the same one for this case. She says it is the same and I eventually get her to get me one that is not the greatest hit. I wouldn't have cared if it was the greatest hit cover but not different cover and game disc art.

Yeah, I've had them mix up the disc versions while I haven't been looking before. F'ing annoying, I don't mind Greatest Hits on my playable copy, but mixing things around is just wrong. Luckily returns are easy when you keep a stockpile of those seal stickers they use
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Point blank on the new used deal had this happen to me at a gamestop with the opened product is new argument I told the rather rude employee to go to wail-mart buy a game take it out of the plastic and try to return it I then asked him what he thought would happen when he tried he said they would not let him return the product I asked why He told me because it would be considered used and that Wal-mart has no proof to the contrary I told him I think I made my point walked out and went to Wal-mart.

If someone had opened the case, I would definitely not buy it at full price. In my opinion who just opens the case to open the case? If they opened it there is a good chance that they played it. This is why I refuse to buy almost anything at Gamestop. Not only do they rip you off for trading back in used games (which i never do) they pull crap like this.

The last thing I did at Gamestop was sell back some Hori gamepads since it wasn't worth the trouble to sell them online. I think the only time I'll buy anything else is getting a game guide or something (though if I could be patient, I'll always buy online). Even then, the person behind the desk kept trying to persuade me with their free membership sign up.

The opening the case of a new sealed game reminds me why I also make it a policy to never buy anything listed on eBay listed as new and but the seller "opened the box to check the contents". If it was sealed and new, what are the chances that there's still something missing inside?

reminds me of the time i went in gamestop just a few years ago and they had 1 "new" copy of Grandia Xtreme left, display of course but it was $20 and the disc was mint so i said screw it, game was rare as hell and mint disc even though i hate that new but opened bullshit.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

That's what I do. Any that I peel cleanly that didn't stretch or lose glue I keep around on wax paper. The transparent kind never look quite right after peeling, but after sitting around a couple of months fingerprints and such just vanish. Oh, and never start peeling by picking at some point with your fingernails, that almost always causes discreet damage. Take a pin and find some point it wasn't stuck down perfectly, slide the pin in and twist it to peel a bit off. Doing that I can perfectly peel like 90% of the stickers I try to save.

I've gotten pretty tired of GS myself. Always ripping people off, having bad trade policies and this and that. I am really thinking of never going there, but since it is in a mall setting, I might go in and see what they have, but usually they don't. Or its too expensive for used or something like that. Getting games off amazon or ebay is way better, you can actually find better prices for both new and used games. The only disadvantage of using amazon and ebay is waiting for it to come in the mail, besides some other obvious things. With all the shit GS pulls, I'm surpsied they're still around. Who knows, if the next Xbox and PS actually do not allow used games to be used, then I don't see GS lasting much longer.
