I checked, and mine is good. Thank god.
It is kind of important since you have to remind people so many times what it doesn't do and razzed me a little. I haven't tried it because I don't really care and all my data is backed up, and ready for a reinstall of the OS if I am infected.
Im not worried about my data, I would be concerned to lose internet though.
From what I understand, the DNS or the way you contact your DNS will be compromised. That could potentially allow for the hackers to redirect any site you access. If that were true, then you would lose internet becuas of your own fault and the Govt would have nothing to do with it.
On the other hand, if your DNS is infected (which can simply not happen since you will just use another automatically if anything happens) then the Govt would shut down one of the DNS's. Again, you would just start using another one...so its totally bull.
Oh right, the mayans...the Govt ain't got shit over them.![]()
well damn, i thought the gov't was actually being honest for once
you guys make me think something's wrong.
I was in the green![]()

It may have something to do with the fact that a)proxies don't necessarily change DNS info depending on setup and b) if its a full proxy setup, the site is never going to see a damned thing about whats happening on your side of the proxy server - which itself is a very different setup to someone compromising a DNS setup.
One thing that bothers me about some of these hackers is they don't really do anything productive. Taking down peoples' computers for what? It does not seem that fun to me. I guess if they had a real end goal that meant something I could understand.
