Emu and Game

I want to emulate Radiata stories ISO USA ps2 version but dont know which emu to pick and even if i pick one dont know how to install the game to the emu any help

go to pcsx2's site and get the installer, then once you have downloaded the game and unzipped it, run the ISO but the PS2 emulator is a very demanding emu so if you post your specs then ill be able to assess whether or not your computer will be able to run it

when i unzip it gives me only a infranview file,system.cnf file, and a file that says slus212.62 did i unzip it right because it gives me no way to launch it

Here's a link to emuparadise.org PS2 emulators page. Just select which system you are using to run the emulator and select an emulator on the next page.

You can get the latest version of pcsx2 from benniebois link or check the main site at emuparadise.org to find lots of different emulators in one place.

ah prehaps it gave you the ISO in the 1st place i have never downloaded ps2 isos from the main site, try running the file you downloaded from the main site, and then see how it goes

what do u mean running it from the main site??Im new and dont know what that means lol

I think he means for you to check the file extension of the original file. It may have been a usable format before you extracted it. Generally, a .iso file will be recognized as a winRAR file, so it may look like you need to extract when you don't.

Well yeah pcsx2's recommended settings are a dual core cpu @ 3.0ghz or better

the minimum settings are what you need to be able to play doesn't mean you will get full speed the recommended is for being able to play with minimum slow down, I also noticed you left your graphics card out of the equation which is just as important, because pcsx2 is both cpu and gpu intensive.

And since you have a multicore machine try the latest svnhttp://pcsx2.net/svn.php and try to enable the mtvu hack if the game support it you get a boost in the speed
