I do tend to enjoy them.
Hack 'n' slash and platformers are my weakness.

Then you should click my banner, and watch it at the 44 minute mark. He takes on a cyclops.

Some of these speed run times in Rayman Origins are insane. I just spent 20 minutes trying to get the one in 2-2.
I can see a lot of frustration stemming out of this game.

There's most likely a trick to it.

More likely than not. Some of them I'm destroying with about 10 seconds to spare. Others, I've finished right on the nose with 0 seconds left.

What this man said. DMC3 is easily one of the best games of its type for the PS2. I doubt any of them have really aged poorly either, since this was before Capcom half-assed a lot of their stuff by bringing in outside help.

    Oh yes, and 3>>4>1>>>2

So yeah, you get one awesome game, one pretty good game, and one game that's....erm.....not that good. But it is hilariously broken in a lot of ways so you can still get a good laugh out of it. If nothing else it'll make you appreciate the other games in the series a lot more.

Oh, and on the topic of DmC, while the combat and animation still looks a little shoddy (hello Unreal engine!) at least they sorta fixed the writing a bit:
