Default After megaupload, two other popular file hosting site was officially closed.

We know that Filesonic already closed its file sharing function after the megaupload incident.
Today, if I'm not mistaken, Wupload doing the same thing as well. As far as I concern, there are quite a number of members using Wupload service here. Unfortunately, Wupload is officially closed their file sharing service. Head to their site to see it.
I noticed that this is kinda like a pattern that keep on going. And who knows, what will be the next one?

    UPDATE FROM A SITE QUOTE!!!

In 03 April 2012 MPAA shutdown wupload and This association want to shutdown also fileserve and Mediafire and putlocker and fileserve and depositefiles.

File hosting sites are going to come and go. Who knows, its probably only a matter of time before something like megaupload comes along again.

If we have premium membership and uploaded some real business stuff. How can they close their service. Do they give our money back?

I never really cared for Filesonic or Wupload anyway. Mediafire is where it's at.

Who cares about the money, I'd give up a few hundred of my dollars to keep my files any day. I'd be a hell of a lot more concerned about losing my files over my precious 'premium membership'. Unless you are a bum, you can always make more money, however, some files are just completely irreplaceable. They could just keep my money and give me back my goddamned files. Then again, I am not naive enough, or in the situation where I "have" to, to store my files on a file-sharing site anyway, therefore I wouldn't lose any money backing up my files on one.

Regarding personal, or individual storage, who in their right mind is retarded enough to have their files completely backed up ONLY on a file-sharing site, and what legit business wouldn't have its own means of mass file storage? That seems pretty fucking stupid. I don't necessarily mean to offend anyone who has to store their files that way, BUT, if you have the ability to just put them on a separate, personal backup drive, and just don't, then yes, I am in fact calling you retarded, on top of being completely naive.

Either way you put it though, there really is no safe way of permanently backing up your files. File-sharing sites go down, hard drives go haywire, data becomes corrupted etc, etc.

Sure there is. Buy several granite slabs, use a hammer and chisel to carve your 1's and 0's onto the slabs, then bury them in your yard. Acts of God will have extreme difficulty even touching your data, much less corrupting it
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

It was illegal money in the first place. These guys just used premium users with terrible service for regulars to encourage premium membership in order to line their own pockets off of the works of other license holders. When you pay for what is basically piracy services, don't expect your money back in an illegal transaction. I really don't care that much about piracy nowadays unless people are ripping off indie developers, but don't go into it without knowing the risks.

It was when I heard mediafire was conducting mass deletion of accounts and files that I knew shit was going down. I deleted all my mp3 files and miscellaneous things on my own mediafire account. What I suggest for those with accounts or those who upload is to upload everything in ZIP's and RAR's with vague file names, it'll deter those quickly looking through accounts. For now.

This is kind of old news though, but I'm not trying to be douchy. If anything here's a list that I think for the most part is up to date, but some others might know of more sites affected (whether directly or indirectly, meaning by choice) on other sites.
