First game I can remember ever trying to emulate was Super Mario RPG on the SNES. At the time I was running a rather ancient computer though (P2, 256mb ram, POS onboard video etc) so it didn't work out as well as I would have hoped; ended up figuring out GBC emulators and playing Pokemon instead.
"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". Must've been a SEGA Genesis game when I was 7 or 8 back in the late 90's.
A then friend of mine had a CD with Genecyst and like 500 Genesis games. It was the best thing since sliced bread.
Obviously due to the time it happened on and the age I had then, I didn't even imagine I was emulating. My first honest contact with emulation would be with Pokemon Gold and TGB Dual (which I fairly got off an enemy in exchange for homework help).

1st game for me to emulate was Breath of Fire 4 for the PS1. I was forcing my slow PC(Athlon XP 2400 + ATI X1650) to play it using BLEEM 1.4. very memorable to me as it was the main reason I am here posting and have all the working emulators in my PC.
