The first time I played, I lost Shepard too
He didn't make the jump to the Normandy at the end.

It might fit into extended or some shit, but that's just because of my card choices, I made it purely for casual.

That reminds me, I found a video of that scene, but it was a palette swap of the Illusive Man instead of Shepard, and for some reason when I was that, I lost my shit.

I wonder why I had never considered the truth about the Illusive Man...the eyes...they should have been a dead giveaway.

What are you talking about, he is clearly Martin Sheen, they are one in the same.

Sprung, the suicide mission is absolutely not random. There is a specific setup required to maintain all party members. With this setup, you can pick and choose who lives and dies. Loyalty actually only has a little bit related to the outcome.

You need to get the conversation option Ship Upgrades from Tali, Jacob, and Garrus. Shields, Armor, Cannon respectively.
    You should have everyone loyal.

Vent Specialist: Tali, Legion, Kasumi ONLY.
Fireteam Leader: Garrus or Jacob. ALWAYS.
Biotic Specialist: Jack (loyal) or Samara ONLY.
    Escort: Mordin ALWAYS.

Leave as many of the following people out of your party for the final battle: Grunt, Zaeed, Garrus.

    Congrats, you just saved everyone.

If you dislike any specific character and want to make sure they die, stick them in the vents (if they're not Tali, Legion, or Kasumi). Doing this will kill that person without affecting anything else.
