There is absolutely no subtitles or story line they all just nod and agree to fight op thing that can combo you without the ability to fight back with 150% combos pratical making you need to rush through without fighting besides bosses on NORMAL. I can't even imagine the hardest difficulty...

Played some Mario Party 4 with my girlfriend. Kinda sad how her and her 5 year old brother could beat me.
Final Stats:
Her: 20 Stars.
A.I.: 10.
Brother: 7 Stars.
Me: 0.

One of my very good friends beat the game on the hardest difficulty =P and if I'm correct never lost a life BUT did get some damage done to him. He also beat All Star and Boss Battles on the highest difficulty without using a heart (personally watched him). My best friend and I want him to enter competitions but he says that he has no time to do such a thing lol. Sometime I'll record him playing and post it on here

Shitty story mode.
