Live fighters, live damn you!
Yeah, there is some craziness in SFxTK, but the game has been out for like 2 weeks so it pretty much comes with the territory. As of now I think there are like 4 or 5 infinites in the game, Kazuya has one, one of the cats has one, Pac-man has one (lol), and Xiaoyu has one as well. In addition to that Megaman tries to leave the planet, as shown above and Jin has a weird glitch with on of his command kicks where if it hits under certain conditions the opponent is left in a weird flying state, I don't think they can be hit while like this.
Anyways, now that I have actually started playing it, I find myself having difficulty picking who I actually want to play with, nobody is actually really bad in this game and every is fairly viable. And the amount of of stuff to figure out in the game is kind of intimidating at first. In addition to your standard SF4 style link combos, there are also chain combos that are done with l, m, h, which can be followed up with a launcher, launchers bypass low attacks entirely, the list goes on. It's just A LOT of stuff.
tl;dr: SFxTK has a lot of stuff in it, brain hurts.![]()
whys there two hang outs ?
If i was remotely usefull (how ever unlikey that maybe) feel free to click the thanks button or share some rep.
Yeah it's a 2d plane, Tekken x Street Fighter will be the standard Tekken 3d plane.
This is the fighters hang-out, it's pretty much a hang-out just more related to the gentlemanly sport of fisty cuffs, it used to be an actual thread but it got too spammy, cuz honestly look who posts here.![]()

I'm kind of looking forward to it honestly, I think projectiles will work somewhat like Jinpachi in Tekken, that would make sense, though they'll clearly be under-powered if there isn't some other work around, it will be interesting at the very least.
T'was indeed, maybe one day we can relive the glory. Assuming this one ever hits 4000 posts this lifetime, I feel like we keep it mostly fighting game related (I blame Nemesis), I mean hell otherwise I'd pretty much exclusively post in the HO.![]()
I'm finding it hard to find a fighter I want to play...
SNK I avoid now due to an ex members over enthusiasm with em, and im not 100% loving Modern Fighters
Hmm, I wonder who that could be.
I'm not sure how I feel about fighting (I know exactly how I feel about them.) as an accessible genre. They tend not to appeal to everyone, it seems to have it's own niche in the hierarchy as far as video games go. As evidence I would like to present the fact that the genre has it's own HO.Some have an awkward learning curve, or difficult to grasp mechanics, meanwhile the audience isn't exactly the most... sociable in the gaming community as a whole.
It's still a solid game playing 1v1 too.
More on the learning curve thing:
I don't think it should be as high as the moon. I think that people shouldn't expect the games to be simplified just because they don't know how to play. You don't expect to get 100 kills and 0 deaths the moment you start playing a shooter online, why should a fighter be different?
It's not a matter of overall technical difficulty, it's a matter of how difficult the entry barriers are. Tech rolls, cross arts, guard cancel blowback attacks, links, chains, desperation moves, FADCs, Special cancels, EX special cancels, and whatever other jargon I'm forgetting, the point being is that it's a lot of stuff to absorb at any given time really. Not to mention it's no easier with the scum bags that are particularly prevalent in the fight game community, in force mind you. So for someone on the outside it can be pretty discouraging when you just get messages of "go home nub" or straight up "8==========D".
