Eh, I'm not sure what people wanted ME to finish, Space Jesus and whatnot but for the decisions that my character took across the games, I did like it.
Plus, no ending would have made people happy I guess, the journey to the end was the most memorable thing, IMO.

That said, I thought that making a fundraiser to force Bioware to make another ending is...well, I won't say it, but who will decide what the ending will be? Angry, outraged fans? BSN freaks? Common people? If we're going to have a shitty ending at least I'd want the game writer to come up with it because it's his work, not the collective thinking of several rabid people.

Not any longer. I kinda quit the weed game when I moved to a country which will give the death penalty for possession. Hence why I spend most of my weekends in Malaysia. Shhh...

My problem wasn't so much with the ending, I actually kind one of them. My problem was the mechanism in which they chose to deliver the endings, it was very deus ex machina, no pun intended. That and the fact that there was very little closure in the end, would go into more detail, but I don't want to spoil it for the people who haven't played it. The poor sods.

That said, I gotta say something. I don't recall a game developer getting so much amounts of hatred in all of my gaming history. To me, ME was an enjoyable franchise with fun moments, interesting story and whatnot. Game of the generation? Absolutely not, but I will remember it fondly in the following years, but it seems to me that either you like the game, or you get absorbed in a spiral of hatred, insane outrage and extreme weirdness for a Quarian.

    Okay then.

    Spoiler warning:
Halo 3 had a similar ending with the "Wake up, John" thing and everyone was OOOOHH AAAGEHAHHAHEH OMG ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME BEST GAME EVUR, and maybe it's because I'm not too fond of Halo or something. The "Shepard lives" seconds after the ending strongly suggest that a new DLC (yes, yes ) will expand the endstory about finding Shepard. I'd like that, but then again, Bioware/EA are kinda burned in the gaming community for DLC. Even if it's post-release support, it will be taken as "should have been on the disk already" situation

Good, you're neutral. That's some rare thing to see. I'm okay with people not liking Mass Effect at all, but I seriously stopped being concerned and now I laugh at people who devote so much energy at hating the ME machine. And I mean, a whole shitload of hate energy.

Yeah, EA/Bioware are kind of notorious for their DLC shenanigans.

As far as the endings go I don't think people should be allow to complain about the actual endings, that is 100% a creative choice that only Bioware can really decide on. No amount of endings can satisfy everyone.

    Mass Effect spoilers:
    Spoiler warning:
My problem is with this: Once the end of the game is all said and done, there is very little information (none at all, really) about what the fuck happens to all of the other races in the galaxy, are the fleets stuck hovering around earth? Does everyone die in the resulting mass relay explosions like in ME2: Arrival? Or are they just in a giant galactic tea party? What the fuck.

IIRC, mass relays were a bridge to instantly move to other space systems, they seemed to create a black hole (that Joker was trying to get away from) but he seems to have landed in another land. I'm guessing that nobody really died, but they're now stuck in whatever system they were while the mass relays exploded, a user in NeoGAF posted that there's a Codex entry that says that ships can actually travel light years in matter of days. So if the planets are somewhat close, they can get back to them with week-long journeys, but the problem comes with the far away planets, those might take a longer trip to get back. Maybe they would end as the Migrant Fleet of the Quarians, or find a new planet to establish. If Joker survived, I'm pretty sure some ships escaped the explosions of the mass relays, that's my take on it.

No one can topple Capcom's throne.

I should? I hate it and Miracle Whip.

I haven't heard anything about DmC in a while, if only they would scrap it.

I'd get the RE5 DLC (Lost in Nightmares proved that they know how to do a survival horror again, they just don't care anymore ) but Capcom hasn't made a sale for it on XBL yet. That's right, three years and not a discount on that DLC. I can't imagine them doing a discount on those SSF4 costumes either.
