    Buahaha. Winning with a deck that is favoured against no top tier deck in the format game one is deeply satisfying. I got swept in one bad match-up where I had to mull both games but I avenged that by later sweeping that archetype twice. That sweep and one other loss is all I'm on with this shit right now (against a boat load of wins, tbf I've played some bad pilots but I really can't say on those for sure because I don't know what their hands were). Boarding correctly seems to be really damn important though. Fortunately so far I've been able to pro-actively guess what my opponent will board and I board accordingly. Talk about mind fuck. Aven Mindcensor is just insane in Modern, I really never board him out. It can't be said enough how good he is.

    How many fucking fetch spells are in that format that Aven Mindcensor is good? Stopping fetchlands is pretty pro I guess.

    Well everyone fetches because lolhavetorunatleast2colours and it helps your mana base. But the real value is in stopping other cards since he is CMC 3.

    Gifts Ungiven
    Expedition Map
    Tolaria West (and other transmute cards, in really weird decks)
    Squadron Hawk
    Steelshaper’s Gift
    Birthing Pod
    Chord of Calling
    Ranger of Eos
    Eye of Ugin

    Thalia is a house too since she time walks non-creature decks.

    Oh god, Chord of Calling, I remember the good old days of EOT: Chord of Calling into Simic Sky Swallower.

    It helps stabilize the pod combo deck. In fact that list of cards is mostly from 2 decks.

    Weeee Legacy. Brainfreeze your deck because I can.

    Much more fun than that boring Esper Blade non-sense.

    I saw that Geralf's Messenger card that you posted in the HO, is that a legit card?

    When did "when this creature dies" become a the technical term "put into the graveyard from play"? Seems fishy. By which I mean too vague.

    Legit as hell and troll-facing in standard in decks that can pull him off.

    I'm not sure on that last part, but dying goes on the stack and he does hit the graveyard. So you can respond by exiling a graveyard and shit.

    I only ask because that "dying" part seems terribly vague. Why replace the explicit phrase of "graveyard from play" with "dying", it just doesn't seem like something the Wizards word lawyers wouldn't allow.

    Yeah, because it's less text and it can be implied would be my guess. Dying has multiple new triggers in the latest block. In addition to undying you have Morbid.

    Two silly Morbid Cards

    Unrelated to this talk but Magic players can get really angry. Was playing some legacy and the guy just quit after he totally misplayed some shit. He cast Exhume to get back Iona and I got back a Thalia that he had countered and I had a Karakas already out on the field.

    I guess it makes sense.

    Exile = RFG
    Dying = to the graveyard

    You mean people rage quit when things aren't going there way? Nonsense.

    Yeah, it makes enough sense.

    And never!

    GW Aggro is pretty legit in legacy afaict from my testing. Feels like a meta-game deck though, like it could be crushed if someone wanted to.

    Ugh, the match vs the whiter mirror is very obnoxious. TRADE LIFE GAIN FOR 30 MINUTES. Felt good about winning though. Sylvan Library kicks ass.

    You know what's some funny tech? Darkblast and Gut Shot. Both see board play in legacy and modern.

    Martyr Proc is a viable deck in Modern. Somewhat. Not in legacy though.
