It still takes a little bit and can be quite boring, but it's a helluva lot easier than running through random areas trying to find enemies to kill. ... use a rubber band. I got into the middle of a wide open space in the desert, snapped a band on my controller holding the left stick all the way to the left, and he ran around in a circle for about ten minutes until the trophy popped. I don't recommend actually watching the screen, though, or you'll get dizzy and pass out. Motherfucker turns pretty sharply.
I actually ran in circles and kept hitting the dash button... Still took over an hour if I'm recalling, even though at that point I'd ridden everywhere (story-wise).
