I'll miss it if only for the loss of a large library of Japanese titles too, it seemed like they usually had everything I was looking for that I couldn't find here it's gonna be tough to find another place like that

Well not trying to start any arguments or site flame wars but I joined S.O.R. first before I found E.P. and as Jack Spicer said in his post, though with better wording, I find E.P. to be the superior site.

That being side I also liked Snes-O-Rama for many of the reasons listed above including the greater opportunity it provided to find rare games if we didn't have them. I would also like to welcome any members of Snes-O-Rama that come here as Jackhammer said in his post they have done for us in our time of need.

I whole-heartedly second this. SnesORama did have a rather large library of unique and off-beat games. Most things I couldn't find here on EP or anywhere else on the 'net were usually posted on SOR.

@Dreamer - IIRC, you were a rather large contributor to SnesORama... I'd like to thank you for your work there. My thanks also extend to the others that made that site work as well as it did. It was good while it lasted. I'll miss it. I'm glad to know that you're a member of EPforums.

    Cool

Gladiator posted another incarnation of this track when I was new to SOR, and I found it quite moving when I listened to it drunk. I still really love the melody; and it's funny how the words could be applied to joining an emulation forum--at least the part about finding a niche at last and being a prisoner of the past.

    Well...here is the scoop..

Snesorama (aka SOR) might be back soon. But we will no longer provide any illegal files, as I dont wanna risk jailtime or getting sued for millions of dollars, or even worse, EUROS!

I was going to shut down entirely, but I figured, we could just have the legal forum part up.

So I'm going to, if all goes well, upgrade VB, and restore the old database. The main difference being that the trade post will be gone.
It is unsigned...........Assuming its from Matrlx.

The Trade Post is still there, but they've named it "SnesOrama - Legal Gaming ". Should I be worried about the trade post?

They still have a pre 2007 pc section.

But it looks like there's a problem with spambots there atm.
