Me too. The reason being that there was a TV antenna pole right outside of my room that was struck by lightning, my TV was connected to it, my SNES connected to the TV, the controller connected to the SNES when I was struck indirectly by that lightning. It fried my TV and my SNES, knocked me out for about an hour and when I regained consciousness the side of me that was holding the controller was paralyzed and the skin on that hand smelled like pork rinds. I've been struck by lightning indirectly three times, but I do live in the lightning capital of the world. I can only imagine what it must be like to get struck by lightning directly, and you won't catch me outside with an umbrella as a lightning rod during a thunderstorm. I'd rather get wet that get fried.
edit
I was playing Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting when that happened. The game was fried too.

Yeah, and considering that it paralyzed one side of my body I'm glad I'm right handed. Otherwise it would be the left side paralyzed along with my heart and I'd be dead. I've always wondered if that did any permanent damage to my brain, because after that is when the aliens started visiting me. I don't know if they're real or if I'm out of my fucking mind. Last year I was on Google image search looking for something totally unrelated to aliens when I saw a depiction of exactly the same beings that appear to me. I clicked on it and it lead me to this page.

I used to call them shadow people because that's what I first thought they were when I looked for "shadow red eyes" on Google. Before then I had seen shadows hiding behind objects, since they average about seven feet in height it's hard for them to hide. They pass through walls and solid matter as if it was air and they don't walk but glide a few centimeters off the ground. I PMed you about them a long time ago if I remember correctly. Anyway, after reading about the Kelly Cahill case I consider them aliens even though I haven't seen their UFO. Or at least I can't recall their UFO, when I encounter them face to face they knock me out with some sort of energy waves that emanate from them. All I can say is that they're not space brothers from outer space, and I'm sure they choose people who aren't fainthearted to appear to because they are horrific.
I started seeing shadow people in 1993, when Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting came out. Kelly Cahill encountered the exact same beings in 1993 and she describes them identically to what I've experienced. Her case is special in that there was another car behind her on the road and the people who she didn't know at the time were also abducted. Separate accounts retold to police were identical in the description of the craft, the aliens and what the aliens did. I didn't know of the case until last year. So, I'm not stuck on any floor because I do have a case as precedence. At least to prove to myself it's not hallucinatory.
By the way, I bought another SNES after that and sent it to my cousin in Cuba in 1999. I wasn't struck by lightning in 1999.

I never had one when I was growing up, but I bought one around 2003 or 2004 and grabbed a few of games for it. I still have Mega Man X, Super Mario World, Link to the Past, and Donkey Kong Country 2... and I think that's it. There are a lot of games that I would love to get for it, but I just don't have the money to invest in tracking them down.
I might have to hook it up this weekend and play me some MMX, though.![]()
Mine was stolen. Along with two of my most played games at the time: Killer Instinct and RapJam.
I actually remember every game I had for my SNES:
Killer Instinct
RapJam
Megaman X
Mortal Kombat 3
Donkey Kong Country
Super Mario All-Stars
Final Fantasy II (really FFIV, but no one knew that back then)
MarioRPG
Mario Kart
Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers
Super Tecmo Bowl (this game had a hilarious glitch that enabled SUPER speed on field goal returns making you a blur sure to score, but if you got tackled, the game would lock up)
Madden NFL '96
Super Mario World
Zelda: A Link to the Past
and
Super Star Wars (the sound Jawas make when they die. roflllll)
