If you're interested in cars, but not interested in an automotive apprenticeship (or it's difficult to find a position), why not try tyre fitting?
You'd might get the chance to do wheel alignments eventually, and as a result you'd test drive customer's cars

Most places here will just train you on the job for that......but it may involve some light physical exercise

To be considered for any apprenticeship over here you have to be aged 16-18, otherwise the company has to pay for you to do the apprenticeship, and they don't like doing that. They'd rather have someone younger where the government will fund their apprenticeship. I'm 21 this year, left it too late.

So my uncle wanted an Xbox controller as his is about 10 years old and really worn. So I thought, ah! I'll buy one from the place I got one of mine from which was in perfectly decent working condition.

Except the one they sent out for him was in shite condition. The wire has been wrapped around the controller so tight it's ridiculously twisted. The B button gets stuck when you press it and the left analogue stick has been chewed, there are teeth marks left in what's left of the rubber on it. Disgusting condition. Supposedly in 'good working condition'. Working, yes. Good? No.

I'm 21 and I'm getting paid. I mean they will give you a bit less than a younger applicant, but they still fund them for people older than 20 until 30.

So the new Xbox arrived.

Two pretty tasty very small very comfortable Madcatz wireless controllers
14 games, 10 of which are decent. All in good condition. 4 sports games.
Xbox is noisy and dirty, but the DVD drive is perfect - so that's been put into the crystal which now reads discs and has a 160GB Seagate drive.
The Xbox is also from 2002 so it's TSOP flashable, which I intend to have a shot at very soon.

Overall, happy with the purchase.
