They are pretty good games, some have a few problems but as a whole they are a solid bet for a good time... if the games are your type that is.

*sigh* Peace Walker would have been so much more fun if I had had someone else to play it with.

It got pretty monotonous going solo on every mission... Especially versus the hardest bosses!

And then there was grinding bosses for rare drops... Ehhh.

Still an excellent game, but so much better with friends.

i can admit some of the metal gear games can be a little slow (i think metal gear solid 2 is kind of slow). but other than that i think the metal gear games can be fast paced depending on how you play it

the best part of metal gear is you enter an area, see your enemies, plan how your going to take em out and execute it perfectly because you are stealth master, then kick back and watch some sweet sweet cutscenes (better than most cinema)
also vr mission for ps2 and ps1 is excellent to bad theirs no online leaderboards.

I like Metal Gear myself. But there are some people who don't like the long cutscenes or the crazy plot, or how it's about stealth and goes against conventional action games like CoD, or don't like it just to be hip and edgy. It invented stealth in video games and led video games to be more cinematic. So yeah, I like it, but I acknowledge the problems and don't say it's perfect. Nothing is, and it's better that way, because only improvement can ever happen.
Or you can be like Capcom, Activision, and EA and butcher your AAA titles for non-game players and never do anything for your more obscure/old school games, but that's a different argument altogether

If my posts help you out in anyway, give thanks if you can so I know I'm doing things right.

i never play Metal gear and not intend to play it...
cuz id like killin people with a huge shining blade rather than shooting people head off from far away like pussies..

but anyway solidus is a legend and i admit and also admire him for his good lucking and those scary empty gaze he had, well the difference is i just dont like guns as my fave weapon, for those who love Metal gear as much as you do,well go on...we have a fave rite?

Never played the nes ones but the ones I have played were pretty substandard. How people get so involved with boring unimaginable characters is beyond me. I mean seriously what's so great about these glaringly mediocre games? But at least if you had a wobbly table you could use the discs to level it out. Syphon filter is the superior game.

Well as i will admit metal gear solid isnt the best game in the world, to me i can get a better enjoyment factor than call of duty (which i hate with a burning passion). Metal gear solid is still an important factor to me i have played metal gear solid for ps1 and if it wasnt for it i would have not really experience and enjoy a grand franchise. Right now im playing Peace Walker and its fun and enjoyable even though i dont really like the controls.

MG has had a good run, I've played every game save the NES ones, though MGS3 came with them so I might give them a go.

I've finished every one except Acid and Acid 2, the whole card game concept really sucked to be honest :L
