seriously though COD are good games just a little over done but I guess you can say that for almost any long running gaming series for example street fighter final fantasy etc.

If it's anything like the first one, there won't be enough copies floating around for a price drop to ever be needed. I scoured all over town for a copy of the first one about... six months after it was released, and couldn't find anything anywhere. Limited release, not a well known title, etc... most places didn't carry it. And I enjoyed it, but it wasn't an "oh my God I must play something like this again" kind of game. That and it looks like they changed up the combat of it a fair bit for the sequel, and the combat in the first one was about the only thing I really liked about it. So now I'm iffy again.
But I can preorder it for $50 on VGP, so I might end up buying it anyways...

Well, that was interesting.
Since I'm in a similar-ish situation, my advice is:
Pre-order it.
Rather make sure you have it, than having to look for it, and depend on luck.
Then again, you said:
