You're always most vulnerable right after you score. /cliche

Brutal loss as Arsenal really needed the full points from that game imho. Could be looking at missing even the Europa league if they keep this shit up.

In much better news, Bayern Munich top of the table. 8)

Tsk, Liverpool's too stinky for that. I hope. Oh, and I really, really, really, really don't want to think about playing in the EL.

But, yeah, Gervinho will be way more missed than he should be. And Swansea's too offensive, should've scored a couple on the counter; but the "full backs" can't play ball. :/ Ridicolous keeping from Szczesny too...

Holy shit, Capello's had it with the FA. Who will take over? Not-a-tax-criminal Harry Redknapp? But he can't buy players coaching England... can he? :O

I hope they are happy, it's what they wanted to happen.. and without having to pay Capello for firing him.

If I were the FA, I'd try to get Hiddink. He's currently out of contract after leaving Turkey, he speaks fantastic English, and he's got a proven pedigree for getting results quickly (which England need right now because they don't have a lot of time before the tournament), getting teams fired up and ready to play (which England need right now in the wake of this whole Terry scandal), and getting international teams to punch above their weight (which England need right now because man for man, I just don't see them beating Spain, Germany or even Holland). I know they want an English manager, but there aren't exactly many options available at the moment. There are few world class English managers in the world, and most of them are tied up with other things. Redknapp is about the only one I could see taking a stab at it (largely because he's getting on and might not get another chance), and even then I'm not convinced he'd be a rousing success being that his greatest strength is his ability to wheel and deal in the transfer market. I think they ought to swallow their pride and pay what they need for a guy who is likely the best out of contract manager out there.

Would be surprised if that happened, that's what they tried without any conviction with Capello and we saw there were way too many interests to see him out just because he wasn't English. If they continue with their old England is for English managers mentality instead of giving those who are capable of doing good things a chance, regardless of their nationality, there's very little to say.. and no, I'm not referring to Eriksson either

I guess poor results is what they really want. With mediocre, but popular in England managers we already know what's going to happen, we've already seen that before.

Yeah, don't see it happening either. :'D Which is good, in a way. If Hiddink came in at England I might have to start rooting for them, and my Scottish blood would not allow that.

    I love you.

I mean, uh, I agree. Hiddink is one of the most underrated managers ever, you give him freaking Albania and he'll get them to play great and learning a language in the process. IMO, he's a great national and club manager, after Mourinho, he was the best manager Chelsea had in recent history, and the performances of Russia and Australia were outstanding, but then again, the FA are a bunch of old-fashioned pricks who will surely pick Redknapp. Geez.

I remember when Eriksson came to Mexico.

Haha, what the hell was that.

How did I know there would be posts on this? Was meaning to check earlier but I've been busy. :/

    So in short...

Lol @ England. Always an effing mess. I can't stand England (more than any other national team really, for various reasons) so I want to see them fail.

The timing of this was so awful.

I don't think anything could put England over Spain (I don't like Spain, but I can respect their greatness) or Die deutsche Fußballnationalmannschaft right now. Philipp Lahm is my captain. <3

On another note, I'm sick of top 3 finishes. Please win in Brazil. Eff our Euro group...seriously. It's going to be funny when Portugal fail to advance though.

    Luis Patrice.

They are forging what's going to be one of the best friendships the Premier League has ever known

Seeing Frimpong tweet (I do not read twitter, I was linked to it ) that Suarez was a clown made me all warm and fuzzy inside. SO, WHAT A DAY YESTERDAY WAS, EH? ^_____________________________________________^ Fighting for fourth may be ass, but, man, is it exciting? Sha la la, Thierry Henry etc. And Arshavin made the winner too. :> Adebayor is such a beast though, why does he have to be such a wanker?

The PL-action along with Barcelona fucking up = Best weekend in a long while.
