Girlfriend picked up prototype for me because last weekend I mentioned that the second one looks interesting. Might keep her.

Went from the 10GB drive to the 40GB drive. Mainly just so I could use emulators off the HDD and whatnot.

Do want to get a 120-160GB drive for it eventually. Should get a drive sooner rather than later since IDE is old technology.

Large IDE drives will never be cheap again.
The largest spare I have now is only 80GB........WD of course.
I think I paid around $70 for the 320GB years ago (like many years).

You can use SATA to IDE converters and stick a 1-2TB drive in there if you like.

You can use SATA to IDE converters and stick a 1-2TB drive in there if you like.

I've never actually seen that done successfully irl dude........not saying it isn't possible, but most of those converters are crap afaik
Maybe it's different now, but it was a lot of hit and miss.......not really worth it if you have to try many converters, just get a drive that works.

Although last time I looked even second hand 250GB IDE drives were going for the same or more than what I paid for my 320GB new
