Yep, it's to get work experience working in a shop (Since I have none) and it looks good on your CV (Known as a resume in your neck of the woods, no doubt.)

There's the following opportunities:

Costa (like Starbucks for people who aren't loaded )
Amigo's shop, basically a news agent. I walked in there first and both the people on the till were pretty hot.
And the other one she mentioned was stocking shelves, taking in deliveries etc. I stupidly said I'd prefer to do this one. WTF, I should've said I wanted to do the one above.
