I don't even know where to start really as far as putting together an old POS PC goes.

My pissing around with computers started to take off with the LGA775 socket Celerons/Pentium 4s.

I didn't do a lot to the PC before that because it worked.

Good luck getting a PCI-E card to work on Windows 98.

So what's probably the most modern hardware that would run Windows 98 and 2 Voodoo IIs?

Also shall I PM you my address so you can post me that one you have?

Wouldn't go any newer than Pentium III or original Athlon/Duron probably. Look for a Slot 1 motherboard with onboard graphics and stick with a Pentium II.

But if I send you my Voodoo 2 I can no longer taunt you over how I have one and you don't. :/

How come you have a Voodoo II lying around that I wasn't aware of? Don't deny it wasn't your own photo, I seen the Mac keyboard.

I have a bunch of old parts still kicking around. Nothing to build an entire PC out of but just odd components. There's like four 56k modems in that same box.

I think my friend Erin will be there. Tell her I said hi if she is. She might be the only Erin there who is a girl.

Well you know who'll take that shit off your hands if you ever want rid of it. The useful parts that is, don't need any 56k modems. Had like 3 of those myself that I binned not so long ago.

There's a few graphics cards, some old storage drives, maybe a couple of other things. The oldest complete PC I have is an Athlon 64. Can't remember the specs but I can tell you it's too new for what you're trying to do. I did still have my very first PC until shortly before we moved, otherwise I'd have happily sold it to you with the Voodoo 2.
