It's passable if you want DE to be a shooter.

Problem is no one plays DE for the shooting mechanics.

So that went about as well as expected.

It's also why you don't hear quite so much negativity about Project Snowblind.

Actually you never hear anything about Project Snowblind.

But that's a story for another day.

I did have Invisible War back "in the day", I just never got into it. That was the case with a lot of games when I was around 13/14.

I also had Project Snowblind, never played that either.

So we have a PC in the cupboard, I'm thinking about digging it out when my room's decorated and upgrading it a bit. I know it's got an AMD Sempron 3200+, I know it's AM2, but I don't know if it's AM2+ or AM2. I have a 60GB SATA HDD to go into it and my 400W Corsair PSU. It already has 2GB DDR2 RAM. Thinking about getting an Athlon X2 and graphics card maybe off eBay/second hand somewhere. I don't want to invest a lot of money into it.

Anyone got any old PC parts fitting the bill for me?

My Grandad might have a PC tower and 9500GT I can have/buy on the cheap. The Radeon x1050 that's in it blows serious donkey dick.

EDIT: I'll be wanting to use it for ancient PC games, Quake 1/2, Deus Ex, Half Life, Thief etc. Nothing modern. So a 9500GT would be way more than sufficient.

Eh who am I kidding, no games would be played on it. I would like to try and install 98 on it though, although the hardware's probably too modern.

I haven't gotten very far just beat that phalanx thing and opened things up, just to try it out. Who knows once I really get going I may begin to enjoy it. There's a couple of glaring problems though.

Sorry, no compromises. You play Quake 2 with KB/M, no excuses.

I must not watch a documentary about Group B Rally before bed, I'll never get to sleep. I get goose bumps over the sound of the engines. I think I have a problem.
