I opted for the rifle rather than the stun gun. Big mistake?

PEP gun is pretty pro, I ended up using the tranq. rifle the most though.

Not a big mistake, it will take down early game enemies in 1 shot instantly, and mid-game enemies with a head shot... Assuming you can get Jensen to stop having a seizure while aiming. Late game I stuck with the Stun Gun exclusively.

You can pick up almost all the weapons in Detroit anyway.

Honestly, I got through most situations by just the dialogue trees and a little hacking (like the police station)

I believe that, I just like taking down as many NPCs as possible, try to net as much XP as possible.

Some sections are pretty tough without using lethal weapons.

Also do EMPs on robots count as lethal? I hope I haven't screwed up my trophy.

I don't think so, but be careful because some of the larger bots have a tendency to explode if you EMP them, pretty much guaranteeing a corpse if anyone is near it.

I remember on my first play through, I was stacking some boxes trying to get up a ladder and I accidentally threw a box at a some random guy, best kill/achievement lock-out ever.

Yeah the bot was surrounded by people. No idea if any died or not. I ran away.

I'm still not understanding how DE:HR works even after seeing some gameplay of it. I'll download it and see it for myself I think.

Think of it like this: Metal Gear Solid starring Keanu Reeves.
