I think it might be worth getting used to the horizontal post layout so I can use the Midnight skin. It's really good and I like it, but hate hate hate horizontal postbit.![]()

REGARDLESS. THIS IS WHAT I GET FOR NEVER PUSHING DIRECTIONAL INPUTS WHILE ATTACKING. I HAVE BEEN A FOOL.
Now, I'm going to have to go through and push every single attack button and with every single direction... with every single character.
It's a foot dive.

OH GOD MY EARS ARE BLEEDING
Also, I like how it uses the ている form in the very first lesson before even explaining what て form is.![]()
Nem is definitely underestimating the difficulty. And I told him it's only good for certain things, you still have to put in a lot of time and effort.
Well, duh. Learning any language is like that. But I don't think the difficulty should discourage him, or anyone for that matter.
And I know this sounds cilché, but watch anime. A lot. Or anything that gives you exposure to the actual language spoken by actual native speakers. My English is like this because I was a total nerd and played video games in English all fucking day. I'm having an easier time picking up Japanese grammar because I used to be a total animufag and watched it all fucking day. Yay.![]()
Oh wait, Nem isn't online. So there's no reason for me to give advice and shit. OH WELL.
But seriously, I do feel that "learning Japanese? HAHAHA good luck buddy" type of responses don't help at all. I think any learner should be encouraged instead.
I know, but it's Nem.
I feel the ridicule is necessary.
Moreso if he thinks learning Japanese and learning Nasulogue is the same thing.
I suspect this will last about as long as Cheezy's attempt to learn Russian.
@gare: Some languages are harder than others. French was a breeze though since I don't really have anywhere to speak it mine has gone to shit. Plus it also helps to be younger.
@raype: That's exactly what I was telling Nem.
People told me Spanish was "easy" and I was having one hell of a time with it during highschool.Mostly because I don't like the language at all. Not the grammar, or the way it sounds, or anything. I had zero motivation, obviously.
